2027 Overview — The RAC

When:

· April 11 - April 17, 2027 (PUSD Spring Break)

Required Training:

· At least one ride with the group per month. Try to ride every weekend.

· Participation in one Safety Fun Ride

· Participation in at least two Escondido Hill Rides (EHRs)

· Total of 350 miles, which you will report to us in March. Honor system

Required Attendance (Deer Canyon Elementary School, 13455 Russet Leaf Ln, San Diego, CA 92129):

· Mandatory Meeting August: 20 or 25, 2026; 6:30 p.m.

· Mandatory Meeting: date id TBD typically in March

Suggested Attendance (location TBD):

· Meeting date is TBD, typically in February. T-shirt design contest, camping & general information. Bring the kids.

Mandatory Safety Vests:

· Must be safety (neon) yellow

· Must cover your torso and include your name

· Must wear it on your first ride with us

· We will provide the saftey vests

Cost to Participate:

· $550 per rider (adult and 5th grader)

· $250 per chase driver

· $200 per chase kid

o $100 per family is non-refundable and due October 2nd, 2026

o 50% of the remainder is due November 13, 2026

o Final payment is due February 12, 2027. All payments non-refundable after that.

RAC Reunion: TBD

· Typically in May following the RAC week

· Potluck: bring a dinner dish to share
